This beautiful wooded steep walk, takes us into Galicia and ends in the Celtic village of O Cebreiro. Visit the 9th C. Iglesia de Santa Maria, the oldest extant church associated with the Camino and the stone straw-covered palloza-a Celtic hut.

WALK Sarria to Portomarin (13.3 miles) or Lugo side trip for non-walkers

Lugo has some of the best preserved Roman walls in Spain and plenty of charm, some refer to it as the “poor man’s Santiago”.
